I followed the http link above and found a gif to ascii app but its
using libc which as we all know is depreciated and the other app i
found only works on gifs of 87a type.

I am using a old lappy with no graphics ability at all but
I would like to veiw even ascii versions if possable for gifs.
jpig does a poor job of ansi-fying jpgs.

Does anyone know where I can get a good gif jpg etc converter?
ascii or ansi will meet my needs.
