Hmm...I'm not sure whether you are reflecting on the wishes of Salome or
Herodius in preparing that plate. Herodius no doubt had unfriendly
thoughts about Herod losing his head over Salome during Salome's Dances.

Let's say that rather than it being wisdom on my part, discretion became the
better part of valour...Andreas Freise was not so lucky...he lost
his head.  Arrrrrgh!  Never mind, his head remains in fond memory in
the Artists Gallery...alongside his decapitator...bitter sweet irony?  :-)

We all certainly need to keep our heads...although I have been taken
to task recently...firstly for putting dresses on nudes...and now for
taking them off Salome...so I guess it would be safest to restrict
efforts to inanimate subjects...like Figlet Fonts?  :-)


With all these threats of heads-on-platters perhaps my Hatchet
Figfont is going to come in useful?
