Hi everyone!

The way to kick a spammer is through his ISP.   All Internet Providers
have an AUP (Acceptable Usage Policy) and chain letters are always right
near the top of the list.

I report every spam I see in the newsgroups I read.  I get so many ISP
responses that I don't save them.  There were two in my mbox this morning
regarding posts to this groups one from Netcom and one from ATT WorldNet.

The way to report a spam is to *forward* the entire spam to <abuse@[put
spammer's ISP address here]>.  Some of the smaller ISP's will bounce an
<abuse@> even though that is what the FAQ says to do.  Therefore, I cc
<postmaster@spammer'sISP>.  Be SURE you forward the entire spam.  The
headers and message ID's are needed to track the post if there is forgery
involved.

Pyramid schemes are illegal.  Sending cash through the mail is illegal in
the USA; in fact, chain letters are illegal in the USA.  A person can be
charged with a felony for promoting the sending of cash money through the
mail. Promoting a pyramid scheme is a felony.  This is mail fraud and
involves the U.S. Postal Inspectors; ask anyone who has ever dealt with a
Federal Court, and he will tell you it was definitely not fun.
