To enter the colours in emacs type ctrl q, then ctrl [, this should give
you ^[ Then type [36m So altogether it looks like ^[[36m this makes the text
colour cyan.
The colours are as follows:
Fore (cols) Back Extras
Ground Ground
---------------------- -----------------
30 Black 40 0 Normal
31 Red 41 1 Bold
32 Green 42 2 ------
33 Yellow 43 3 ------
34 Blue 44 4 Underline
35 Magenta 45 5 Flash
36 Cyan 46 6 ------
37 White 47 7 Invert
38 ------ 48 8 ------
39 ------ 49 9 ------
22 Bold only off
24 Underline only off
25 Flash only off
27 Invert only off
To do more than one thing at once you need to seperate them by
semi-colons
ie ^[[36;5m
This makes the foreground (or textcolour) cyan and turns the flashing
on
okay,
I hope this is of some use to you.
