Notepad doesn't copy square blocks of text covering part of the 
pagewidth, like Wordstar used to.  Instead, make a vertical line
e.g. of colons and copty the block line by line into there.
Check (by highlighting a long section) that you don't have scads
of trailing blanks making a very long line, and if so trim them off.
Oh....and delete each of the colons when you've finished.
