HELLO TEACHERS!

Sorry about the trick, I just wanted to get your attention. You have
evidently not explained carefully enough to your students that just
forwarding somebody else's post as if it was their own is quite
pointless (I might even go so far as to call it "cheating" and certainly
wouldn't let them pass a course with it if I was the teacher...). Also
you don't seem to have explained to them that they should find out what
the newsgroup they are posting to is about - before they post and make
fools of themselves...

Here are a couple of examples of what this group is about:

   |||||                           *rrrrrrr!*
  ||| .                      *rrrrr*

 /(.) (.)---._____|"""""""""""""""""""
 \ ) . (
 '(  v  )
   \ | /
   ( | )
   '- -`

(It's me with a motorsaw... yes! I'm a mean lady!)

And my ascii version of M.C. Esher's Waterfall:

(just to make sure I don't get flamed for posting irrelevant stuff here
;) (I made all three pictures))

I recommend that you read some pages about something called
"netiquette", here is a link you can start with:

http://www.albion.com/netiquette/corerules.html

And I recommend the students to read an FAQ for the group, for example
here:

http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/8608/aafaq1.txt
http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/8608/aafaq2.txt

I have spent some time tonight going through old "CP2 POSTS" (about a
year back) in a place called "Dejanews" ( http://www.dejanews.com/ ) and
actually found a couple of posts that seemed sort of relevant - out of
over a hundred...

Here they are:
