I have to disagree with you here, Colin. If Pete says he invented the
steins, surely he's innocent until proven guilty? Anyway, a quick trip
to DejaNews should settle the matter ...

And it does. PeteCasso posted what appear to be his first six stein
cartoons on 1997-01-12. I don't see any other reference to steins in
cartoons before then, although Colin posted his Stein family more than
once, and there were a number of posts from (and replies to) a Dr.
Stein.

And this message, Colin, should really settle the argument ...
