As such you may had just demonstrated a total lack of knowledge of the usenet. My letter to root has been posted. Mr. Craig, instead of ranting and raving, why not take your own advice and be proffesional about your position. It doesn't matter that the Instructor is responciable. What matters is Why and how to change the situtation to bennifit both sides. I had asked root on your behalf to create a news group that you can use to educate your students to be productive. It is not the instructor jobs to see to it that they are proformming the job correctily. It is YOUR job as SA. The instructor job is to educate the student in the best use. It is your job to see to it that they learn and to demostrate the lesson to them. It is the SA job also to help with any problem that arrises. This insures that you get the most out of the lessons and the student also get the best out of the lessons. You most likly was chosen for your shown skills. You are not demostrating diplomacy in handling the situtation. This is a skill that you will need when you are sys admin for any company. This is a bad situtation that has bad feeling on the regulars users of this news group. You are making them more angry with the way your are handling of this matter. As I seen the problem. 1: Spam is being posted by the CS department by your instution. 2: The post are in the wrong news group. And has been for sometime. Lets fix this. I had suspected in my first post that someone is reading this group. You proved that out. I also sugested that the parties involve contact the adminstration and the dean of your school in getting the matter fixed. This by the appearence of more spam has indecated to me that someone in your department doesn't really care. Your message here indecated that this person is you. > >> > BTW, what's a "Sophmore"? > >> A clueless newbie... > An attack like this was not called for. >That's right...attack innocent students.
