A rubber chair? :\ Originally, I was just going to do some kind of lame joke
about on-line comics (again!), but when Nerd Boy leaned back like that, I wanted
him to fall off the chair spectacularly, and what could be more spectacular than
a rubber chair? Well, lots of things, probably.

This is probably the weirdest strip yet. No dialogue at all. Why is Nerd Boy
rendered unconscious when Mandy accidentally (or is it?) disconnects the
computer? I'm not sure. I think it's because of his intimate relationship with
the computer. He was in the middle of writing something (probably FlareSpeak
code for a dynamic schema knowledge representation for a seed AI, taking us one
step closer to the Technological Singularity as foretold by von Neumann, Vinge,
Kurzweil et al), and since he was so "into it" he just blacked out when the
screen did. That's my theory, anyway...

I kind of like this one. Mandy's punchline is so artificial; it just sounds
plain weird when read out loud. :)

It's true, I couldn't think of a joke (read: I was lazy). Road waffles is an
excellent comic strip, in part because of its gratuitous and extremely graphic
violence.

Another miscellaneous joke not part of a story arc. Personally, I view this as
filler material. I didn't laugh when I made it, probably because there really
isn't anything very interesting in the last panel. Well, ok, he was just yawning
(if he's telling the truth), that's not -very- predictable. But still, it seems
to lack a little something.
And NOW... Some bonus material! Here's a little strip that was never published
(ta daaah). It's from that old W4R3Z D00D story arc.

Guess why I never used it? Millions of reasons. It's supposed to be a rendition
of the robot and the W4R3Z D00D fighting using their awesome energy beams, but
it looks like (according to some) they're dragging a giant maize-cob ("corn")
and not getting anywhere. It doesn't have even a trace of a joke. Most
importantly, it doesn't explain the context. Two people fighting, and a guy
sighing because no one loves him? Huh? It just sucks. I'm glad I decided to
scrap this one...
