Help: Which font?

Hi, I'm trying to find a decent looking font that doesn't distort ASCII art pictures. For example; right now I am using "Arial" to type this. "Arial" distorts ASCII art though so, I can't use this font all of the time. "Courier" and "Fixedsys" work just fine for ASCII art but I personally think the fonts are ugly. Their too "chunky" and plain looking. :-) So, can I find a happy font in-between? Is there a font that looks nice kind of like "Arial" and allows ASCII art at the same time? What font do you all use?
