   Excellent job! Interesting way of doing whiskers. The ones that extend
into the black background look fine. The i on ! whiskers on the face are a
little hard to see but they may just work out best that way. If you make
them easier to see (by drawing them with .,`' characters) it might make
the face too busy. I often delete animal whiskers on the gif before
converting because it makes the face too busy but the way you fixed up
Simba makes the whiskers fit in well. 

   I like the solid colors you used. The mixture of characters that
creates shading sometimes seems to make a picture harder to view. On the
Beauty and the Beast pictures to be posted in alt.binaries.pictures.ascii
you can see that the pictures of the enchantress and the beast after he is
transformed back into human form have a lot of the shaded look. A few
other pictures have shading too. You have to lean back a little bit
farther to view the picture than you would with the solid characters you
used. I'm not sure it works as well to include shading but it at least 
looks a little different. The Sorcerer picture below has a little shading 
effect and it may have obscured details.
