ascii generators/converters

Help, i'm stuck. I'm desperatly looking for some converter that dumps
graphics to ascii, like the good old GIF2ANS. I've found three converters
so far, ASCedit, AsciiArt(?) and something called charac21.exe, but none
of them works. So, anyone, please... Got a converter that WORKS? Please
reply privatly if so.
