AFAIK, the Victoria Freenet uses the same software as the Vancouver Freenet which I used to use (look for posts on dejanews from val...@vcn.bc.ca and kor...@vcn.bc.ca:), and the local Prince George Freenet now also uses that software... the mail program should have an option to upload a text file as your message. And/or, a good terminal program should have the option to send a text file (upload using "ascii") - it'll just stuff a text file into the modem buffer and let the freenet sort it out. <G> Either one usually works pretty good. On the old PG Freenet software, there was also another option. A "line editor" of sorts. This was the best place to do an ASCII send of a text file, as it took raw input, and could handle blank lines- it was terminated by you typing an @ on a blank line at the end. If you can't find anything like what I've mentioned, ask one of the system volunteers. -- _ _ ___ _ ___ _ _ ___ | | / o | |_| o ) | |_ -| v a l d u s @ ICQ: 7107014 \_/|_|_|___|__/|___|___| bcgroup . net Hilton Janfield
