(I've done a little work on browser bugs, and only in a couple of
very-quickly replaced versions of IE could that info be sent to the
owner of the web page. A simaler bug was in netscape, but it was
almost instantly fixed.)

Problems:  
Not all OS'es use drive letters in that fasion.
Only idiots don't check their location every once in a while.
Anybody with 1/16 of a brain and is a PC user will know what C: is.
Anybody with 1/8 of a brain upgrades their browser, especially when
     the bug was in every paper and news show.
Who belives anybody these days?



However, I must admit I know of at least one person (not me) who fell
for one of those links.....  (Guess what?  Win95 PC user with IE....)

Guess the average person might fall for it.........
