.----- On Fri, 26 Nov 1999 14:03:11 +0200, Jan-Erik Finnberg posted: |Do you remember what got you interested of ASCII-art? | '----------------------------------- I'd been drawing things using characters for a while, mostly using the extrended characters in the Amiga and MS-DOS Character sets, without really knowing what I was doing. I got a book free with some magazine a few years ago, which was a semi-large directory of Web sites, Gopher sites and Newsgroups... and one of the groups listed was alt.ascii-art, which was apparently about 'pictures made from ASCII characters'... since I'd just discovered what a newsgroup was, I came here and lurked for a little while, then started collecting pics. I started doing some doodles again eventually, and I posted some here IIRC... and Jonathon Oglesbee emailed me saying I should try some cartoons, which I did... and started drawing pics again too. I haven't made any toons recently, mainly due to the fact that I haven't been inspired recently... Kind Regards, -Martin |\/| _..__|_o._ /\_|_| o._ _ mart.atkins@-- | |(_|| |_|| | /--\|_|<|| |_> --bigfoot.com
