Can't figure out how old the nwsgrp a.a-a ("ascii-art as we know it")
exactly is. The moderated group rec.arts.ascii was born on monday 6th
june 1994, it seems. A.a-a was earlier... when? What newsgroups in the
google- (former deja-)archives are to be tracked down to spread light
upon the descent of a.a-a? rec.arts.ascii?
alt.binaries.pictures.ascii? rec.humor? misc.*? alt.*? bbs.*? big7.*?

This sudden interest in the "history of ASCII-art" is not to be taken
as a death-sentence.
