Of course, now that I've looked at more of them, I see by line delays
don't work very well all the time. And the "microdelays" take a lot
longer than they should, for very small delays which makes a per
character delay too slow to bear. Here's a much better slowcat perl
script (and it uses select, instead of Time::HiRes to be friendlier):
