Recently I posted the following questions:
------------------- posting dated 28 April 1994 --------------------
On my monitor these pictures appear as perfect circles.
Both the vertical and horizontal diameters physically measure 9 cm
on screen.
How do they look on your monitor ?
Perfectly circlular ?
Vertically oval ?
Horizontally oval ?

My monitor is a 1985 Commodore monochrome with 80 columns x 26 rows.
The effective screen width is 22.5 cm x 17 cm, allowing the 1 cm
at the left margin before column 1 appears on screen.
What are the reasons for variations in aspect between different
hardware ?

In response I got the following answers:
1> The circles appear as perfect circles.
2> I get Vertical ovals.
3> The circles appear as horizontal ovals on my monitor.
I'm using a dumb terminal on a unix system.
:-) :-)
