I've found that the more that you do, the
faster you get at creating the ASCII pics--
you learn where and how the characters
fit together.  My first pics took hours, days,
weeks, to complete.  Typically they take
about 20 minutes each... longer for the
larger pics though.  And I always seem to
tweak the 'final' pic a few times.  :)
