Hi! I somehow started reading this - and there are a some little things, that bugs me: (I hope you don't mind me pointing them out...) You should remove the . at the end of the line - this forms up a different URL and might not be clickable by many newsreaders. > 9. Should be removed nevertheless. > 11. What should I know about signature files? > ---------------------------------------------- You should point out that the signature delimeters should be '-- ' (dash dash space) and not only '--' as written in son-of-1036. This is really a bigger problem to loads of software that were written RFC-conform and parses '-- ' only (is there software that parses '--', too?) and can do several things with the signature then (cut it off for answers automatically, colorize it different, ...). > * http://wwwtios.cs.utwente.nl/~kenter/sigs.html > * http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7373/sigs.htm. .... again the dot at the end :) > Some e-mail programs don't allow you to have a signature file which > is longer than four lines, while others just complain. This is news:alt.ascii-art, isn't it? And there are important differences between e-mail and usenet (not just on the technical side). There are more URLs with a dot at the end - I'd sugguest you to drop that ones. I hope that you didn't mind me commenting on this, but this really bugged me :) -- Gerfried Fuchs <URL:mailto:alf...@innocent.com> <URL:http://alfie.ist.org/alfie/>
