I think I've got that Micro-compiler and have never succeeded in
getting it to compile to an *.EXE file because I do not have a copy
of either LINK.EXE or MASM.EXE utilities and the M-Compiler looks
for both of those executables at assembly time and when creating
an *.EXE file for MS-DOS.

I did try my MC compiler on the code that Colin Randall has now just
successfully compiled to an MS-DOS *.exe file creating a very useful
ascii picture-flipping utility. I've waited 5 years for someone to
do that...it was very old code.

I think I tried CHASM as a substitute for MASM in the past and then
got tired of my efforts and put it on the back-burner. 

I'm no great programmer...I can write useful BAT files and do simple
BASIC programs but nothing more than those. I'd rather use other people's
excellent proggies...and there are zillions of them available for MS-DOS
in freeware, public domain and in shareware.
