Hmmm.... those machines are usually about half-full... And they have 1.
a slot to put coins in, 2. a handle to turn and 3. an opening where the
actual gum balls come out. Something like this:

Small, round model (as seen in American films):

             o
         .od888bo.
        /         \
       |oo      oo8|
       |88888888888|
        \888888888/
         /`-----'\
        |  | | |  |
jgs/VK  |  |(/)|  |
        |  |[_]|  |
       (`--.___.--')
        `-._____.-'

Straight, double model (as seen outside Swedish shops):

         _________  _________
        [_________][_________]
        |         ||         |
        |         ||        o|
        |o      oo||o   oOOOO|
        |88O8O8888||OOOOOOOOO|
        |8O8888O88||OOOOOOOOO|
        |---------||---------|
        |  | | |  ||  | | |  |
jgs/VK  |  |(/)|  ||  |(/)|  |
        |         ||         |
        |   [_]   ||   [_]   |
        |_________||_________|
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||
        ||        ||        ||

        ||        ||        ||

(no, I didn't actually look at a one, I drew this from memory)
