Welcome.

Prinzipially none, as you never know what fonts all your readers will
have installed on their system. Their system may even only have an
single fixed nameless font built in (terminals, palmtops, set top
boxes, mobile phone, ...)! And don't forget then readers who print
it out (possibly on an pinwriter or daisy wheel or even TTY).

The best ist to send pure ASCII and to draw it use one of your fonts
where all characters are the same width. And then send your stuff so
that it will try and use an all charcters same width font of the
recievers system.

For Email/News simply send as ASCII (no HTML). For Web pages (or HTML
Mail if unavoidable) use the <pre>picture here</pre> tag.

Then it should appear as same width, unless the reader has
missconfigured their browser (and then you have no chance anyway).

Seach the Web for GIFSCII or GIF2ASCI or similar.

I am sure someone somewhere out there is using 4x6
Pixel. Principially you should not make any assumptions about the
recievers equipment, other than that it can display ASCII. There is
some real queer stuff out there being used.

Better too many than not enough.

ob-ASCII, an VT100 terminal:

Hmm, its a bit un-shaped, but them slightly angled lines are difficult.

Real picture of one: http://www.telnet.hu/hamster/pdp-11/egyeb/VT100.JPG

And yes, I do have one of these, but mine is beige and has a green screen.

And yes, I really should put pictures of my collection on the net.
