OK-  my faux pas--  I looked up the info
in www.dejanews.. The topic was discussed in March
of 1997 and was titled "Linewrap and More".

The field data that I posted in my original article reflects these default
values, with the result that 75 characters does get linewrapped in some
cases, the reason for me to denote it not a safe width. Not enough field
data for 74 and 73 characters, and hence a grey area in my experience. And
finally, 72 characters is a safe width according to field data sofar.

The number is 72 --  not 62 as I mentioned.
However, I can tell you that my Juno email reader
does wrap at 65.  Go figure.
