If you look at the technique, it is then done with a few simple characters: mostly 88 for hair, :: for flesh fill, and Z for a strong highlighted edge. There is no attempt to use any line features of characters themselves, or to anti-alias curved edges--only really needed on smaller drawings. The one slightly awkward aspect of the drawing is the way she has one arm, her right, swept back and her hand in among here hair. The Normand Vielleaux one is more conventional in using anti-aliased edges and blank fill. There's a small one which is just line, and some sig sized mermaids I did from a traditional torso. This one below has light but shaded flesh fill and blond hair .:' and looks to me to be from a photo---but with a hand grid rather than a gifscii program, producing clearer results. There is a male nude around somewhere but, while well endowed downstairs, his face is disappointingly androgynous; I'm guessing he was drawn by a gay man rather than by a woman.
