What it does is ASC2PICs the asciiart, then resamples it as a graphic and
finally 'GIFsciis' the resample version.
The output isn`t brilliant, I was merely just seeing if it could be done
when someone suggested it on the ng sometime near the start of the thread.

|It is quite an old public domain program which was written for general
|use...not specifically for Ascii Art. I use TRIM.COM more than any other
|utility on my files, other people's pictures and my archives. It is
|amazing how many ways you can introduce trailing spaces into the files
|you create and TRIM.COM cleans them up in a split second. Great proggie!

I used to use it a lot, but now I`ve got a fancy text editor (instead of
Notepad) which has an option to trim lines automagically when you save.

Of course someone *did* make the programs originally... just not the people
who advertise them. :o)
It`s true that without programmers computer hardware would be useless, but
of course it`s not a matter of proogrammers or no programmers, there are
'good' and 'bad' programmers. I don`t class myself as a particularly good
programmer, which is why I was so pleased to be called 'talented'! :o)
