good hello all, i've been developing what i call an ascii collage machine... http://toegristle.com/spam-scab/ the idea is that it creates somewhat abstract ascii compositions by cutting up source material and recombining it in different ways, just like a collage artist might cut up images from magazines and newspapers and recontextualize them. i would be interested to know what the artists of this group think about the idea and the implementation. any criticisms or ideas for improvement are welcome. there is also functionality that allows you to add your own ascii art or text to the main data file the machine uses as source material. if any of you are so inclined, assuming you don't mind it being cut up and used in a new work, please feel free to add as much of your art as you'd like to make the machine more interesting. thanks for your time. cheers! corey.eiseman http://toegristle.com/ who are you to deny it?!?
