Probably becuase you are looking at it with the wrong font. Take some of this
stuff, copy and paste into Notepad, or change your viewing font to a fixed width
one. Otherwise the art does not work.

EG the above - to me the three #s at the bottom only reach the down pole in the
middle, so you end up with it looking like I'd imagine this will look in your
variable width font:
    |         |
    |         |
    ###
         |
         |

With variable width, the width of each character can be different on each
computer. This means that what lines up for you won't for others, where e.g.
each space is wider of their is take up less room. However, with fixed width
every character will take the same width so that when you have characters in a
column, everyone else will too and so your image should work.

I can't claim to be a decent ascii artist, I'm just starting, but some of the
people on here can - take a look at some of their websites.
