LINE: USA/Mediterranean map

I was trying to visualize distances around the Mediterranean Sea,
and looking at a map realized that they're pretty comparable to
mainland USA distances... so I built this little overlap-map:

The Mediterranean labels are shifted north, latitude-wise, but
for visualizing distances and relative positions they should be
pretty close.  And, of course, to get from Beirut to Istanbul *by
land* you'd have to go up around DC...
