Is an 80 character sig file too wide?

Hello, I realize the ideal sig file should be less than 72 characters in width but was wondering if I could get away with 80. Any idea what percent of users would have problems reading my sig? I'm trying to create this for my business e-mail and thought I had a perfection until I realized the width. If the recipient receives a bunch of jumbled characters obviously I'm not going to look too professional and defeat the purpose entirely. Anyway I would appreciate any feedback or advice. Oh one last thing, do those look like mountains?
