Please continue to post all the ascii-art you can. Your view on ObAscii and 'diddles' is entirely in sink with the traditions and spirit of this group. Creative ascii-art should not be so limited that it excludes recompilation of peoples work, most especially when the original artist is credited for their contribution. If people feel they should only post completely original art, then good for them, there are no such limitations for the rest of us.
