It's called *ASCII* art for a reason. ASCII cannot include Unicode, 
'though it works the other way round.

So be it. ASCII art is quite the active underground scene, as you'll see 
if you stay about for a while. It is, however, very set in its ways - 
not that that's a bad thing.
